Please do not send your son/daughter to College if they are unwell. After being at home as a result of illness, or for any other reason, you must give your son/daughter a note of explanation for their Tutor on the first day they return to College.

Absence and Sickness Notes
These are required for all students and should be handed to Tutors on the day of returning to College even if the College has been notified by telephone during the course of the absence. When an Absence Note is not provided a text of enquiry will be sent home from the College.
You are legally responsible to see that your child attends school.
ALL UNACCOUNTED ABSENCES WILL BE FOLLOWED UP
YOU ARE LEGALLY RESPONSIBLE TO ENSURE THAT YOUR CHILD ATTENDS SCHOOL UNLESS UNWELL OR YOU HAVE PERMISSION FROM THE COLLEGE FOR ABSENCE
Students who are genuinely unwell will be cared for by a College First-
If the student needs to go home parents/carers will be asked to come into College to pick up the student. YOU MUST PICK UP YOUR CHILD FROM THE SITE
It is vital that parents complete the data collection form sent from College at the start of the year so that we know whom we should contact in case of emergency.
Medical Appointments during College Time: you must provide a note for your child for any such appointment before the appointment and you must pick up your child from the site.
Staff are NOT permitted to send children home if they are unwell unless the child is collected by a nominated / named adult FROM THE SITE
Medication should not be brought into College without prior notice to the students Tutor/Head of Year. Paracetamol etc must not be brought into College.
Children With Medical Conditions
You must inform the College of any medical condition your child may experience. Parents and carers of children with medical conditions will be asked to to confirm/update details at least annually.
