Expand your horizons, have fun,  & improve your University chances.

Passing exams is important, but so is a commitment to excellence, a creative streak, the ability to forge positive relationships, confidence, thoughtfulness and trustworthiness. These attributes are increasingly important in applications to University , so we expect students to devote at least twenty five hours over the year to such activities, and we provide a good range to get you started!  This is invaluable for your C.V. whether you progress to education or employment.

Extended Project

Supporting Literacy

In Year 13 students will be given the opportunity to carry out an AQA Level 3 Extended Project. This qualification is worth valuable UCAS points and will develop and extend an area of study or a topic of personal interest.

It will be based on a topic chosen by the student and has proven invaluable for many of our students. Universities love the Extended Project and it has often been used as a 'tiebreaker' between University applicants with similar results as it requires independent work and original thought.

It is an opportunity to pursue individual interests in ways closer to the University experience. Students love the ability to choose their own topic, independence, and the high quality individual support, and this is reflected in the superb results this subject enjoys.
