LED and HeadsUp working with ECC
A huge thank you to the team at LED and HeadsUp who worked with a small group of our students for 6 weeks over the summer term. The students worked with the team, focussing on the benefits of physical activity for their general wellbeing. Having good mental health helps us relax more, achieve more and enjoy our lives. The programme also offered simple tips and advice to help students deal with stress and anxiety, improving sleep, boosting mood and feeling more in control.
The students thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we are pleased to announce that we will be working with LED again in the autumn term.
The Community section from LED work with several schools across East Devon. They offer a specific physical activity project alongside the mental health charity Heads Up to meet the needs of certain students within the school. Led want to give young people a positive experience with physical activity showing them the benefits that can be gained to support them both socially and emotionally and build their wider resilience. Being physically active can support good mental health and maintain a healthy lifestyle, it is important that the young people are encouraged into these positive behaviours. LED and Heads Up work with the school to create the best possible project that works well for the young people.
