Activity Week 2025

This year's Activity Week Booklet can be downloaded at the bottom of this page and will look slightly different to previous years. We are currently unable to access our coach park from Withycombe Village Road due to the weight limit on the bridge on Moorfield Road being reduced.
We are still committed to ensuring students get the fantastic Activity Week experience, however, we have had to reduce the number of trips that are on offer to reduce the number of coaches needed. We have used the feedback from students to select the best and most popular venues and feel confident that we have created a fantastic choice of activities at great value for money.
This year we are also excited to be working with The Big Step and Bicton College! The Big Step run our summer transition programme and have recently created a schools enrichment week which we are fortunate enough to pilot.
Each year group will get to experience the brand-new CSI Investigation, Extreme Scavenger Hunt, Escape Rooms, Glow in the Dark Dodgeball plus Mystery Activities during the College Activity Day. The College will be covering the cost of The Big Step day for all students.
The Activity Week online choices form was emailed to all parents/carers on 17th January for you to make your choices and allocation letters are sent in March at which time a deposit will become due. No payment will be required until you receive an allocation letter. Each activity has limited places and ballots will be drawn where an activity is oversubscribed.
Students will choose their activity from their year group choices.
Activity Week Allocation Letters were emailed to parents/carers on 20th March 2025.

How to Secure your Place
If you have selected an activity with a cost attached to it, we ask that you pay £20 non-refundable deposit to secure your place by 31st March 2025. You will then be able to pay the remainder of the trip off over time, ensuring the full balance is paid by no later than 31st May 2025.
If your financial situation has changed and you need to request your child/ren moves to a free activity, please ensure you contact activitiesweek@exmouthcollege.devon.sch.uk as early as possible.
Please note the College reserves the right to withdraw any activity that is underfunded.
Payment
Please login to your iPay account on https://www.ipayimpact.co.uk or via the app.
If you haven't yet registered please follow the link on the email you have recently received from ECC.
Choose the activity your child has been allocated (see your allocation letter). Click the join button. You may pay after joining the fund.

For trips going to Crealy, students with a Crealy season pass can use these and the cost of the activity can be reduced by £14 - the pass must be brought on the day and the College accepts no responsibility for lost passes.
Residential Trips
There are some residential trips taking place during Activity Week and the flyer detailing these can also be downloaded at the bottom of this page. If your child wishes to participate in one of these, please register your interest via the link emailed to parents and carers by 7th January 2025.
If the trip is oversubscribed, we will place names in a ballot and allocate accordingly and you will be advised if you have or haven’t been successful, at which point a non-refundable deposit of £100 (£50 for South Hams Coastal Adventure) will be payable via squid by 20th January. If unsuccessful, you will be able to choose from the KS3 Activity Week booklet via the online choices form that has been emailed to parents and carers on 17th January.
Off Site Consent
We will be using the information given on the student Data Collection Form (DCF) for medical consent.
To have permission to go offsite a student needs to have returned a DCF for their current school year 2024/25, or the one directly previous ie 2023/24. If this is not held by the College you will be contacted directly.
During the year please ensure you inform the College of any changes in circumstances or medical conditions.
Attendance
We regard Activity Week as an important part of your child's education and expect normal attendance. Reasons for non-attendance need to be submitted using an absence request form (S2), as the College has to provide details of all unauthorised absences to the Department for Education.
We are unable to authorise absence during Activity Week except for exceptional circumstances.
