News Roundup
A roundup of last week by the Principal Mr. Davis
The week also saw our fantastic dance show, The Blend, take to the stage. The performances showcase a range of exam pieces form GCSE and A level dancers at the College and it was once again amazing to see such high quality work inspired by a huge range of stimuli from the Gilded Age, to emotional and mental health to Vietnam to Storm Thorgersen and even the Moorgate Tube crash in 1975. Dances included the creative use of Zimmer frames, blindfolds and even basketball filled hoodies! It really was a fantastic show and so thanks to Mrs Phillips and all the dancers that took part.
Finally I visited our Year 11 students this week who have been doing their assessed three hour cooks this week - they have produced some incredible meals including vegan options, under huge time pressures. Unfortunately I am not allowed to show pictures of the food they produced until it is moderated but the pumpkin bread looked incredible! Well done to our Year 11 Food and Nutrition students, Mrs Skinner and Mrs Souter.
Finally a huge thank you to everyone that has contributed to our appeal for additional funding and supported the "Worthless" campaign last week. Your support is greatly appreciated.
